Aminatta Forna‘s article “Power Walking” speaks and feels the truth of walking as a woman. A few months ago, this article stood sentinel on the magnet board in my hallway so that each of us in my family could read Aminatta’s wisdom. Power Walking opens wide a perspective so we all can get a taste of vulnerability, of power, of walking.
Today, Aminatta filled her Twitter feed with images of foxes, harkening to her book Happiness (WorldCat / Bookshop). The foxes inspired me to return to Power Walking and to process and share through today’s piece.
